What is the mission & vision of the school ?

Our Mission We seek a safe and distinguished educational environment for every member of the school community, carefully considering the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual domains. We aim to guide our students to take pride in their beliefs, values, and heritage, achieve excellence in areas of individual potential, and develop into life-long learners ready to take an active part in a rapidly changing world. Our Vision We aim to develop global-minded learners, who have profound beliefs in their culture, values, and heritage, to enlighten the future by significant contributions.

When was Bedayia International School established

The school was established in 2008 and ran its first full academic year in 2009/2010.

What grade levels does the school presently have?

The school now serves children from Pre-K to grade 12 . There are separate classrooms and break times for boys and girls starting in grade 5.

Who are the owners of the school?

El Banaseg for Education Services serve as the school owners. The company was established by Dr. Ahmad Ghalwash, former Dean of the Islamic Daawa College of Al-Azhar University.

Which geographical areas does the school serve?

The school is in the Banafseeg Zone, 1st Urban District, New Cairo which is central to all Cairo and Giza. Air-conditioned buses with seat belts serve the areas of New Cairo, Rehab, Heliopolis, Nasr City, Orbour, Medinaty, Shourouk Maadi, Mokattam, Mohandeseen, Shoubra and downtown central Cairo.

What is the maximum number of students per class ?

The maximum number of KG students per class is 22. The maximum number of elementary or middle school students per class is 24.

Do you use subject teachers or homeroom teachers?

In each class in KG and lower elementary (Grades 1, 2, 3) there is a class teacher and an assistant teacher who are responsible for the four core subjects of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. For every two classes, there is an Arabic teacher and an assistant as well. In the upper elementary, middle school, and high school stages, there are subject teachers.

What are the school hours?

The school day starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 3:05 p.m. It consists of 9 class periods of 40 minutes each as well as prayer time and lunch.

Will there be after-school activities this year?

Yes, we have After School Activities on Thursdays from 2:30 p.m --- 4:00 p.m. The Activities include Football, Volleyball, basketball, Karate, Parkour, STEM, Arts and Crafts, Swimming.

Is the school accredited?

The school is a member of NAAS, the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. Also, Bedayia International School is IB World School and accredited by IBO to offer the Diploma Program (DP).

Are the teachers at Bedayia qualified?

Bedayia’s educators are selected for their ability to be role models of correct Islamic behavior as well as their educational excellence. Educational background, teaching experience, and language expertise are all taken into consideration when making the decision to hire a teacher to join Bedayia. Teachers are also continuously involved in training and development to help maintain and enhance their professional experience.

What is the campus comprised of?

Is it true that the American system of education is easier?

The plan of study for Bedayia students is guided by a rigorous curriculum aligned to American standards of student achievement. The goal of the plan of study is to prepare students with the set of skills needed to be successful as they enter college or the work place. Students are expected to work hard in order to progress along grade level expectations. Homework, classwork, projects, and assessment are an important part of the educational process to ensure student learning. Assessments take different forms (such as quizzes, chapter tests, presentations, projects, etc.) and are ongoing. A student’s grade at the end of the trimester is a cumulative total of the full extent of work done throughout the trimester. Students are expected to put forth their best effort and demonstrate a positive attitude toward all academic matters.

What kind of techniques or teaching methodology do you follow at school?

At the school, we believe in using different educational techniques to cater for the different needs and learning styles of each student, keeping in mind not to create any conflicts between Islamic beliefs, cultural practices, and the areas of knowledge.

What will be the options of university education for my child after graduating from school?

Bedayia International School graduates will receive an American Diploma that allows them to join all private, national, or international universities in Egypt and overseas.

I want to enroll my child at Bedayia International School. What should I do?

First, fill out an application and submit it to the Admission Office. Next, the admission officer will schedule an appointment for the child to take an admission assessment in English, Math, and Arabic. There is also an interview for both the student and parents. Then, complete the required papers for enrollment after the school administration informs you that your child has been accepted.

What are the required papers needed to enroll/transfer my child to Bedayia?

A student's files should contain: a birth certificate, a medical form with immunization records, previous school records, official transfer papers, 8 photographs (passport size) and a letter of student recommendation.

How do you communicate with parents?

Communication with parents includes formal means like home connection books, report cards, and Parent-Teacher Conferences. The Bedayia newsletter and other informal approaches like phone calls, memos, special mailings, and e-mail messages are used to keep parents and students informed of the ongoing mission of Bedayia. Online means of communication include the Bedayia Website and Renweb School Information System where parents have on-line access to student grades and other information

How will I as a parent be involved in the educational process of my child?

Parents have a major role in the education of their children as the first educational experiences of a child takes place at home and should continue throughout the child’s school life. The school needs the parents to continue with their parental role, to follow up on their children's school work. The parent is expected to show interest in their child’s school life and hold high academic and behavioral expectations for their child. Parents can help greatly by showing respect and support for their child, the staff, and the school’s efforts towards academic excellence.
